This fabric is a viscose linen. It is jet black and made with a very dense weave and small fibres so it has a slightly silky finish. It has ridges at variable intervals which are reminiscent of a pin stripe because of the look this generates.

The fabric is very stable so we have cut it on the bias to create drape and suppleness.

This fabric is so great that we wanted to pick out a style that really tested its qualities – the dress shirt is in this season – so we have chosen this classic, with a twist – the twist being that we edged the bib of the dress shirt and defined the neckline, with a frill.

The shirt is cut on the bias. The cuffs are button through – the buttons a lacquered black shell and the collar is a flattened off mandarin collar.
