You will love this! It comes with its own ivory silk camisole though you can wear it with black or other neutral separates as well. Looks stunning with white.

Lets start at the top: the shawl collar is 3 dimensional as it is interfaced with the same fabric which has the appliqué rosettes all over made from the same fabric. This makes it very dressy.

The jacket is cut at the bodice and tucked from under the bodice to the waist – like a deep loose belt or basque. The tucks add fullness the “skirt” part of the jacket. The hemline falls away from the centre front like a dress coat and flutes and drapes at the back.

The buttons are natural shell/mother of pearl. The sleeves are long and straight.

The print is looks a bit like the pattern made on a sandy beach by the rivulets of the receding tide. Strips of the fabric have been cut by a hot knife to seal the edges and then stitched in meandering rosettes. The background is a white crinkle and the print colour is like a soft slate grey with a subtle undertone of lilac.

The reason for waxing lyrical on this fabric is that its actually a polyester and we really could not quite believe the quality of it - -the feel and drape. This means you can shove it in the washing machine and shake it out to dry, jam it in a suitcase and wear it on arrival.

We definitely suggest you think about wearing it with white to a special occasion but also turn heads by teaming it up with black and wear it to work.
